Jody,
Thanks for your comment and your willingness to involve your group in helping Hiram Farm. There are always plenty of opportunities for volunteers to help with the many projects that we have in progress. With the many events that are scheduled for this fall, as well as the fall garden clean-up, I'm sure we will be able to use any help you can send our way.
You should contact our Executive Director, De Ann Brewer, at the Hiram Farm office, 330-569-3441. She will be able to set up volunteer dates for your group and discuss your on-going participation. Thanks, again.

I am the high school ministry director at the KSU Newman Center in Kent, and I am a physical therapist who has worked in the Portage County Schools with children having autism spectrum disorders. I would love for our group to become very actively involved in helping the farm living and learning community. what a fantastic way to allow for growth and a sense of community for people...both with and without autism. I am sure that the HS students will grown in their understanding, spirituality and in their sense of community as well. I will copy the dates when volunteers are needed, and if there is anything else our group can do for you, please email me! thanks for your wonderful work!

Sorry for the long delay in responding to your question. To find out about the schedule of work on the nature trail you need to contact Gwen or Stan Fischer. Stan's e-mail address is stanfischer@windstream.net. There may be another work session for the bridge on Sunday the 17th but I am not certain. Contact Stan for information.

There is a work session scheduled for the barn construction tomorrow. Starting time is 1:30pm and will end around 6:00.

To keep up with our volunteer schedule and general information about what's happening at Hiram Farm, join our Page on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hiram-Farm/126973547332286

Thanks,
Frank Gwirtz

The KSU volunteers were great! One of the best groups I've worked with. Thank you so much for all your help. Your positive attitudes and big smiles were the key to our getting so much work done. I hope your group will come back again.

We are thankful that the members of our direct care staff are willing to help out with volunteer projects such as this during their off-hours. Thanks to Debra for leading this group and to all the rest of the staff who have donated countless hours of their personal time toward building a better program experience for the participants at Hiram Farm.
